Established as a producer of fused minerals in 1958, UCM Magnesia Ltd ( previously Electro Furnace Products ) is the leading supplier of electrical grade magnesia to Europe, Africa and the Middle East. In 1996, an investment of over GBP 4.7m increased the plant capacity to 18,000 tonnes per annum making the operation the largest and most advanced plant in the world for the manufacture of electrical grade magnesia. UCM Magnesia produces a comprehensive range of powders for use in Domestic and Industrial heating elements, automotive components and refractory applications.
