In the Iron and Steel industry waste heat boilers and waste gas cooling are used in BOF Oxygen Steelworks, Sinter plants, coke oven plants, electric arc furnaces, walking beam furnaces and rolling mill furnaces.NON FERROUS METALLURGY : In Non ferrous metallurgy we supply Flash Smelters, Isasmelt, Ausmelt, QSL, Fluidized bed roasters and smelting cyclones.
CHEMICAL INDUSTRY : In the Chemical Industry Specialised heat recovery and process gas coolers are used in Nitric Acid plants, caprolactam or hydroxylamine plants, sulfuric acid plants coal gasification and all processes in which hot gases with or without dust are energetically used ( by steam generation) .
ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY : Environmental applications are found in Thermal utilization of solid residues in grate firing systems or smelting cyclones, biomass plants, boilers downstream of residue combustion on grate firing, on rotary kilns and fluidized bed roasters.
SERVICES : Oschatz also offer a competent range of services including consultancy, inspection, economic analysis, process engineering, engineering for boiler parts, measuring and control systems, installation, commissioning and an emergency 24 hr service team.

The company that was founded in 1849 in Meerane, Germany, as factory for brewery vessels, today supplies customers in the iron and steel industries with important components: for oxygen and electric steel plants, sintering plants, coking plants, and rolling mills. In the area of non-ferrous metallurgy Oschatz develops and produces cooling systems for pyrometallurgical processes – such as levitation melting, Isasmelt, Ausmelt and fluidised bed roasting – for the extraction of non-ferrous metals like copper, zinc or lead.
Turn-key systems are manufactured, delivered and commissioned in the power plant as well as for the chemical sector. In addition to waste heat boilers Oschatz also offers core components for sulphuric acid, nitric acid, caprolactam and hydroxylamine plants which are used in the chemical industry, individual customer tailored systems for environmentally friendly thermal recycling/disposal of biomass, refuse derived fuels (RDF) and residues are also part of the service range Oschatz offers.
