United Bright Bar is a privately owned, progressive and independent producer situated near Wolverhampton in the West Midlands. The company formed in 1982,occupies 50,000 sq.ft of factory space dedicated to flow line  Schumag and Drawbench production and comprehensive range of fined stocks of bright bar.

Since the inauguration of UBB there has been an ongoing commitment for investment in premises, plant, and personal to continuously improve our production capability and service to meet the high demands of our customers and modern CNC machine technology.

Investments in plant include the latest technology  available in bright drawing with 2B Schumag Combined Drawing Machine, with a configuration which incorporates CNC capability along with George Fischer Shotblasting, Dr Forster eddy current crack detection, faced and chamfered bar ends and a vertical 2 roll reeler offering 1in 3000 minimum straightness, critical for today’s precision machining industry.

Our latest capital project has been concentrated on automating our Draw Bench line to further increase the throughput yield and straightness of the finished product. This investment includes new sawing heads and in-line chamfering which can offer cut bars to lengths varying from 1m to 8m with a tolerance of +/- 5mm supplied with chamfered bar ends.
